Holiday events look a bit different this year but the silver lining of going virtual is that they can be more accessible and more affordable than the year’s past. Have fun in the comfort of your own home and take in a theatrical experience, shop, and even finds ways to give from the warmth and safety of your living room. There are so many cool experiences and great opportunities to even partake in a educational, cultural, or other special exhibits. The opportunities are endless and so many great organizations and businesses have put their best minds and talents together to try and make this Holiday season just as special even though circumstances have changed. Check out this list below!
First if you are looking for entertainment for your corporate, office, or company holiday party I still have a few dates available for my show in December and availability in January 2021. Please click here to visit my website and request information for virtual magic entertainment at your party. I have been getting rave reviews on my show. It has been fun performing these shows because there is so much engagement and in one day I will be in living rooms overseas in Europe, back to MN, then down south to Texas and then finish the night entertaining in Boston. It has been a pretty great experience. I am itching to perform again in person but I have enjoyed working from the comfort of my home.
The first experience I would like to share is a favorite of many. Holiday lights! Check out Christmas in Color, It is a drive through holiday light experience taking place at Valleyfair in Shakopee, Minnesota and the event runs from December 1st 2020-January 3rd 2021. From the description on Valleyfair’s website you will drive through millions of lights perfectly synchronized to holiday music you’ll hear right through your radio. Drive by giant candy canes, snowmen, arched pathways and more. Take your time enjoying this lighting extravaganza – we won’t judge you if you join the kids with your face pressed against the window! Visit Valleyfair’s website for more information and to buy tickets.
The next event in the Candy Cane Institute and it is a virtual event taking place at the Mall of America from December 1st-December 24th 2020. Santa’s top team of elves have set up the Candy Cane Institute at the North Pole to find the true meaning of the holiday season, but they can’t do it without you! Find out what merry mischief the elves are getting into as they take you on an interactive video tour through the Institute. The final stop on the tour is a visit with the big guy himself. Appointment and tickets are required and the Mall of America’s website to find more information.
For those of you who love to shop you are going to love this next event! This is a virtual shopping event called Gifts in the Gallery! The annual Gifts in the Gallery shopping event features a stunning array of items from local artists. Pick up gifts for everyone on your list during this two-week boutique. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s Gifts in the Gallery will be held online. Curbside pickup and local delivery are available, and shipping is available for select items. Give the gift of handcrafted beauty and shop local! I love this event because you are still shopping local and supporting local business! This event is December 7th -December 21st 2020.
If you would like an opportunity for charity Catholic Charities is hosting The Giving Tree from December 18th-December 20th 2020. It is a drive through event where you can give to those experiencing homelessness and those most in need. The drop off is in the Lindau lot at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota
